Daily Departures

Day 1:
Met on arrival in Cape Town by our representative and transferred to
Cape Cadogan for a 4 night stay. Balance of day at leisure.

Day 2:
Half day city tour and Table Mountain. (weather permitting).

Day 3:
Full day wineland tour of Paarl and Stellenbosch. A visit to one of South Africa's most famous wine farms for lunch.

Day 4:
This morning you depart for the Cape of Good Hope along one of Africa's most scenic routes, on to Cape Point. After lunch, drive through historic naval town of Simon's Town, continuing through Muizenberg to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Return to Cape Town in the late afternoon.

Day 5:

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Cape Town airport for your late morning flight to George, the gateway to the Garden Route. You will be met on arrival by your private driver/guide. From George you will travel to Oudtshoorn for lunch, tour an Ostrich Farm, and visit the Cango Caves. From Oudtshoorn, you will travel via the scenic Montague Pass and onto Knysna for your 3 night stay at the Elephant Hide Lodge (B)

Day 6:

This morning you wil be transferred to the Knysna Train Station for your Choo Tjoe ride to George and the Railway Museum. After your train trip, you will be transferred to Knysyna. This afternoon you will be taken on a boat cruise on the Knysna Lagoon.

Your private driver/guide is at your disposal and will discuss various sightseeing options.

Day 8:

After breakfast, your driver/guide will take you through the Tzitzikamma Forest as you make your way to Port Elizabeth airport. Light aircraft transfer to Kwandwe Private Game Reserve for your 2-night stay at choice of Kwandwe Fish River Lodge or Ecca Lodge.

Kwandwe Private Game Reserve lies in the heart of South Africa's malaria-free Eastern Cape near Grahamstown, 
and is a natural conclusion to a journey along the world-famous Garden Route. A victory for far-sighted conservation, 25 000 hectares (62 000 acres) of farmland in the Great Fish River region were restored and restocked with African wildlife. Today, thousands of animals including lion, black and white rhino, buffalo and elephant roam this diverse and fascinating reserve.

Day10:
After your morning game drive and breakfast, you will be transferred to the Port Elizabeth airport for your afternoon flight to Durban. Upon arrival in Durban, you will be met and transferred to Ballito, a small coastal community located about 30 km north of Durban for a 3 nights stay at the The Boathouse (B)

Day 11:

Full day tour to Shakaland for lunch and cultural experience.

Day at leisure. Optional Durban City tour can be arranged.

Day 13:

In the late morning, you will be transferred to the Durban airport for your flight to Kruger International Airport, the Gateway to Mpumalanga.. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Hazyview and Perry’s Bridge Hollow for a 2-night stay.

Day 14:

Full day panorama tour. Climb up from 300 - 1700 meters through breathtaking scenery, stopping at historical and scenic places including God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes, The Three Rondavels, the Blyde River Canyon, and the old gold rush town of Pilgrims Rest.

Day 15:
After breakfast, you are transferred to the Private Game Reserve of your choice for a 2-night stay.

Day 17:

After your morning game drive and breakfast, you are transferred to Kruger International or Hoedspruit airport for your flight to Johannesburg and connecting flight home.

All game reserves are located in either the Sabi Sand or Timbavati Reserve which shares its border with the world famous Kruger National Park. This area is known for its prolific wildlife and is home to the "Big 5": elephant, lion, rhino, leopard and buffalo, along with many varieties of animal and bird life. 

All game reserves are fully inclusive of game activities and meals. Morning and afternoon/evening game drives are in open air land rovers with an expert ranger and Shangaan tracker, to introduce the wonders of the African bush. You also have the opportunity to participate in a bush walk with a ranger. Each reserve has its own personality and style.
