Tanzania
is is fast becoming the most popular destination in
East Africa and offers some of the best wildlife
experiences on the continent. For many, it is the
ultimate safari destination. With national parks
extending over some 33,660 sq km (13,000 sq miles),
Tanzania has more land devoted to national parks and
game reserves than any other wildlife destination in
the world.
Everything from pristine coral reefs to the Crater,
Highlands, remote game reserves and the famous
national parks, is protected by government law. The
Serengeti a 14,763 sq km (5678 sq miles), claimed to
be the finest park in Africa. Here are 35 species of
big mammals, including wildebeest and zebra, and also
an extensive selection of birdlife. The Selous Game
Reserve is larger than Switzerland and covers
one-sixth of Tanzania's land surface. In addition to
its beautiful landscape, Tanzania is home to
approximately 120 tribal groups with the Masaai being
the most well known. The 'Spice Islands' of the
Zanzibar Archipelago, Pemba, Mafia, and the entire
Tanzanian coast is home to the Swahili people, a
vibrant mix of Arab, Indian and Bantu origins.
All our tour programs are extremely flexible and can
be customized to suit your interests and time frame.
Where possible, we use light aircraft transfers and
scheduled service, as the roads in East Africa can be
very rough. This assures you arrive well rested and
ready to enjoy the game drives and activities the area
has to offer. Small luxury tented camps in prime game
areas will ensure an intimate safari experience.
Northern Circuit
This 9 night program includes small
luxury tented camps in secluded areas and features 3 national
parks, Tarangire, Ngorongoro and the world famous Serengeti. You
will have our own private driver/guide and 4x4 vehicle ensuring
an intimate safari experience. Extensions to Southern Circuit,
Zanzibar or the neighbouring countries can easily be added to
this itinerary.
Southern
Circuit
The sheer vastness of southern Tanzania makes for some
spectacular game viewing and superb African vistas. An
additional benefit of a visit to the southern circuit is the
remoteness of the location, which means that most visitors
rarely see another car during their game drives. A visit to the
southern circuit is a trip into an unexplored and wild Africa.
You will visit Ruaha National Park, Selous Game Reserve as well
as the Spice Island of Zanzibar. Extensions to neighbouring
countries can easily be added to this itinerary.
