Volcanoes Virunga Lodge offers 8 individual chalets and is built in the local style from wood and stone, with clay-tiled roofs. Set on a hillside, the lodge overlooks the lakes of Ruhondo and Bulera, and has a panoramic view of the Virunga Volcanoes. |

The
lodge has been built to very environmentally friendly standards and the
electricity is solar powered. There is no running water - water is
supplied to your room in tanks and your hot shower is delivered on demand.
There are also no flush toilets. Long drop style eco-toilets are used
instead.
