I started my career as a retail travel agent and was fortunate to see many parts of the world before becoming an African specialist.  As much as I loved exploring the world, Africa won my heart very early in my career. After 20 years of retail travel agent experience, in 1994, I started Reservations Africa and customizing trips to South Africa. From the very beginning it has always been my policy to only sell what I have personally experienced. After multiple trips and becoming very familiar with South Africa, it was only natural to explore the other safari countries; Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Mozambique. I have continued to travel to Africa 3-4 times a year to maintain my product knowledge. I specialize in the medium to high end market and every itinerary I offer has been customized to meet your expectations and realistic budget.

 

My passion for Africa also evolved into having my own register charity, African Preschools Society. The charity has funded the construction of 2 preschools both in South Africa; one in KwaZulu Natal, and one near the Sabi Sands, Mpumalanga. After the preschool in KwaZulu Natal was built, it was then handed over to the education departure of the province of KwaZulu Natal. The preschool in Mpumalanga is 100% sustained and funded by the charity. I am very proud of the fact that 100% of all donations go directly to the projects as no travel expenses or administrative costs are paid for by the charity.
